ASC Women's Soccer Season Stats
RICHARDSON, Texas –– Nine-time defending American Southwest Conference champion Hardin-Simmons posted a perfect 12-0 record against league competition to win the regular season title and seal the right host its 10th straight ASC Women’s Soccer Championship Tournament, to be held Nov. 1-4 at HSU Soccer Complex in Abilene, Texas.
The entire six-team, single elimination event – being played for a 15th-straigh year – will be available for fans through free video and live statistics. All links can be found on Hardin-Simmons athletic website (

Head coach Marcus Wood’s Cowgirls (15-0-1), who won the NCAA Division III national title in 2010 and have claimed 14 conference titles overall, will receive a first-round bye. HSU finished the regular season extending its unbeaten streak against league competition to 156 matches. Head coach Stefani Webb and Texas-Tyler (14-4), which lost its only league game this season to HSU by the score of 2-1 in overtime, locked up the No. 2 seed and will receive the other first-round bye.
Mississippi College (13-3-2), which enters on a four-match winning streak, will be the No. 3 seed. Two-time conference champion Texas-Dallas (10-4-2) is seeded fourth, Concordia Texas (9-5-3) is in the No. 5 spot and East Texas Baptist (8-6-1) secured the sixth seed.
Thursday’s first-round matchups include Texas-Dallas against Concordia Texas at 11 a.m., with the winner getting host Hardin-Simmons in Friday’s 11 a.m. semifinal. Mississippi College and East Texas Baptist will duel on Thursday at 2 p.m., with the victor going against UT Tyler at 2 p.m. on Friday in the semifinals. After a full day off on Saturday, the championship game is slated for 1 p.m. Sunday.
The ASC tournament winner earns an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Championship.
NOTES: Admission: $5 for adults, $3 for students/children/seniors each day. Under age 6 will be admitted for no charge. No complimentary admission passes will be accepted . . . Official tournament long-sleeved t-shirts are $15, while official tournament programs will be $2. . . The hosting rights of the ASC women’s soccer tournament are awarded each year to the regular season top seed. . . .
