Mary Hardin-Baylor is proud to announce the identity of its newest head baseball coach, Ben Shipp. He has been working at UMHB for nearly three decades, most recently serving as the vice president for athletics. Shipp was UMHB's head baseball coach from 1985 to 1997. Stepping into Shipp's old office will be Randy Mann.

The Pacific Lutheran Lutes punched their ticket to the NCAA Division III Softball Finals by defeating American Southwest Conference champion Texas-Tyler by a score of 4-0 in Monday's championship game at the Tyler Regional.

Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team met their goal of shooting four rounds under the team score of 320 and closed the NCAA Division III National Championship by carding a final-round 318 on Friday in Angola, Indiana. The Cru women finished in sixth place overall.

Ozarks student-athletes were well represented at the 2012 Special Olympics Track and Field Meet held April 26 at Clarksville’s Metheny Field. Nearly 400 Special Olympics athletes competed. Ozarks student-athletes were just 100 of the 600 volunteers.
