BELTON, Texas -
Mary Hardin-Baylor
will host the 2018 American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament November 1-3 at the Mayborn Campus Center
The Cru (23-4, 15-0 ASC), who are ranked No. 23 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, won the West Division and top seed.
Concordia Texas
(17-10, 11-4 ASC) is the No. 2 seed in the West, followed by
McMurry
(23-5, 11-4 ASC) as the No. 3.
Three-time defending champion
UT Dallas
(21-8, 13-1 ASC) claimed the top spot in the East Division.
East Texas Baptist
(14-14, 7-7) is the No. 2 and
LeTourneau
(7-20, 4-10 ASC) comes in as the No. 3.
Concordia and LeTourneau will open the Championship Thursday at 5 p.m. The Tornados are making their seventh tournament appearance and second stragiht while the YellowJackets are appearing for just the second time and first since the inaugural ASC Championship in 1998.
The winner will face UT Dallas on Friday at 11 a.m. The Comets are making their 15th consecutive trip to the Championship with five crowns under their belt.
Thursday's 7:30 p.m. match will see ETBU take on McMurry. The Tigers will appear in the tournament for their conference-leading 17th time, with three titles to their credit. The War Hawks have qualifed 13 times and will be making their first trip since 2011.
Host UMHB will face the ETBU/McMurry winner on Friday at 1:30 p.m. The Cru are making their 12th trip to the tournament and have made four straight appearances to the finals, winning the championship in 2014.
Thursday's first round matches are single-elimination, with the final four teams remaining playing in a double-elimination format. The winner will be declared the conference champion and earn the automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship. The 2018 ASC Volleyball Championship is the 21st conference postseason event dating back to 1998.

Daily admission
for the ASC Volleyball Championship Tournament is $15 for a tournament pass, $10 for adult day pass and $5 for student day pass.
No pets
are permitted at ASC championship events except for certified service animals that are properly trained, marked, and leashed.
