AshLee Bilbo were named to the Capital One Academic All-District VIII team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Monday.
Allen graduated with a bachelor of business administration degree with emphasis in accounting earlier this month. She maintained a 3.89 grade-point average during her time at Concordia Texas.
In her final season on the golf course, the Magnolia native carded an 84.18 stroke average in nine tournaments. She finished 13th or better in six of the nine tournaments, including three top-10 finishes. Allen was the runner-up at the UTD Comets Invitational (March 17-18) after shooting a two-round total of 162 (81-81).
Bilbo earns a spot on the Academic honor squad for the second straight year. She was also voted to the Capital One Academic All-American Team last year. She posted a 7-6 record at No. 2 singles and teamed with junior Angelie Juaneza to record an 8-7 dual match record at No. 2 doubles. Bilbo earned All-ASC honors in both singles and doubles for the fourth consecutive season. She also maintains a 4.00 grade-point average as an organismal biology major.
The 2014 Capital One Academic All-District At-Large teams, selected by CoSIDA members, have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. The squads are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. Each honoree advances to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America selections will be voted on later this month.
