LUFKIN, TX -- Led by the top three golfers in the field, the Texas-Tyler men wrapped up the title by 46 strokes at the 2012 American Southwest Conference Golf Championships on Tuesday at Crown Colony Country Club. Jacob Walsh was the individual champion for the third straight year, followed by John Dukes and Trent Boudoin.

UT Tyler, which raised the conference trophy for the second time in three years, posted the event's three lowest rounds -- 300-295-303 -- for an 898 total. King Campbell was named ASC coach of the year.

Walsh (71-75-73--219) finished 3-over-par and held of teammate Dukes (three 74s) by three strokes. Boudin (77-73-74--224) rounded out the three Patriots on the all-conference first team. They were joined by Concordia Texas' Jack Cersosimo (77-79-76--232) and Mary Hardin-Baylor's Stayton Lindeman (79-77-77--233).

The Patriots now advance to the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships, to be held May 15-18 at Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
