Vacca Leads List of Four D3soccer.com All-Americans from Hardin-Simmons

ABILENE, Texas — Four Hardin-Simmons women's soccer players have been named to the D3soccer.com All-American team that was announced on Thursday by the national web site.

Senior defender Brittany Vacca was named a first-team selection. She fueled a defense that allowed only eight goals on the season and recorded 18 shutouts. She is an Abilene Wylie product.

Senior goalkeeper Rebecca Roth, a native of Weatherford, was named to the second team. She had a 0.41 goals against average. She was the ASC Defensive player of the year.

Junior Katie Kuykendall was named a third-team selection. She had 18 goals and 15 assists for the Cowgirls and was named the ASC Offensive player of the year. She is also from Weatherford.  

Sophomore sweeper Courtney Cramer, who played at Abilene Wylie, was named to the third team. She anchored the defense for the Cowgirls and also scored six goals.

Vacca, Roth and Kuykendall were all repeat selections on the All-American team.  

Hardin-Simmons went 20-2 on the year and won its ninth straight American Southwest Conference title and went to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
