RICHARDSON, TX --- For the first time in league history, the American Southwest Conference will have two representatives in the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship. Hardin-Simmons is the ASC's automatic qualifier for winning the conference title, while Mary Hardin-Baylor received one of 17 Pool C at-large bids. However, for the third time in four years, the ASC will have two of its teams facing off in a first-round game. Hardin-Simmons and Mary Hardin-Baylor had to play in the first round of the NCAA football playoffs in 2006 and 2008. The rematch of the 2009 ASC Championship Tournament final between HSU and UMHB that took place on Sunday in Belton, Texas, will be played at the same location this Thursday.
