MARSHALL, TX --- The Texas-Dallas volleyball team clinched its fourth straight American Southwest Conference East Division title on Friday night, but it took a hard-fought, five-set victory over East Texas Baptist to do it. As the East's top seed, the undefeated Comets also earned the right to host the ASC Volleyball Championship Tournament on November 6-7 at UTD Activity Center in Richardson, Texas.

After falling behind following 25-11 and 25-19 losses in the first two sets, the 11th-ranked Comets (19-0,14-0 ASC) rallied to take the match with 25-18, 25-17 and 15-12 wins.

In the fifth and deciding set, UTD trailed ETBU (16-9, 12-4 ASC) 6-8, but went on a 5-1 run to take an 11-9 lead and finished out the match at 15-12.

UTD, the defending ASC champion, is one of just two unbeaten teams in the country.
